LILY OF THE VALLEY
Lily of the valley is the common name for a perennial flowering plant, Convallaria majalis, in the lily family, Liliaceae. It is native to Eurasia and eastern North America and is grown worldwide in gardens in warm and temperate zones. The plants develop two or three shiny leaves and a graceful, one-sided group of fragrant bell-shaped flowers, white to pink in color. Plants are propagated from pips, upright buds originating from underground roots.
