FEVERFEW

FEVERFEW

Feverfew, Chrysanthemum parthenium, is a bushy, hardy perennial plant in the family Compositae. Long a garden favorite, it is also found in the wild. Feverfews are erect and leafy, growing to a height of 90 cm (3 ft). The leaves are strongly aromatic and pinnate, with three to seven oval leaflets, each of which is further divided into lobed segments. Flower heads are numerous, barely 2 cm (0.8 in) in diameter, and button-like, with a yellow disk and white rays. The plant blooms during the summer and grows readily from seed.
