DAY LILY

DAY LILY

Day lily is the common name for about 15 to 20 species of flowering perennial plants making up the genus Hemerocallis, in the lily family, Liliaceae. Day lilies are native from central Europe to Japan. The hardy plants, which have fibrous or bulbous roots and grasslike leaves, can endure sharp climate changes. Some day lillies grow up to 2 m (7 ft) high.
